Townsville City Council announces 2027 theatre traineeship

Townsville City Council has announced applications for its 2027 Trainee Theatre intake. The 12-month full-time position offers a Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services, combining formal study with practical experience in lighting, sound, staging, and audiovisual systems.

Participants will work at the Civic Theatre in Townsville and have opportunities to travel to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) to complete training. The role involves supporting various performances, including concerts and community events, under the supervision of industry professionals.
