Towson University introduces lower tuition for Mid-Atlantic students

Towson University has announced a new Mid-Atlantic tuition rate aimed at increasing higher education access and campus diversity. The program provides a lower tuition option for undergraduate students residing in Delaware, the District of Columbia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Based on projected fall 2026 rates, the Mid-Atlantic tuition and fees are estimated at approximately $20,680 per year. This offers an average annual savings of about $12,000 compared to the standard out-of-state tuition and fees, which are estimated at approximately $32,948. Students living outside the specified Mid-Atlantic states will remain subject to regular out-of-state rates.

Prospective students are encouraged to apply by the Fall 2027 Early Action deadline. The university noted that Fall 2027 rates are expected to be announced in Spring 2027 and are subject to approval by the University System of Maryland Board of Regents.
