Towson University students among 17 arrested in shooting
Seventeen people, including three Towson University students and two juveniles, have been arrested following a shooting near the university on Sunday, Sept. 27. The suspects face various weapons-related charges.
Baltimore County Police responded to reports of gunfire at the Cardiff Hall Apartments in the 8000 block of York Road. During the response, officers located a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest, who had also been involved in a car crash.
Following a witness report that several males fled into an apartment after using a rifle, police entered the residence and apprehended the suspects. Authorities recovered five firearms, including an H&K rifle and several Glock handguns. Notably, two of the handguns were allegedly equipped with rapid-fire conversion devices known as ‘Glock switches.’
