Toxic film faces financial scrutiny despite ₹339 crore global earnings

The high-budget film ‘Toxic’ is facing scrutiny regarding its commercial performance. Despite a worldwide gross collection of approximately ₹339.79 crore, the film’s earnings are being compared unfavorably to its production costs, which are estimated to be between ₹500 crore and ₹1,000 crore. Based on a minimum budget estimate of ₹500 crore, the film faces a potential deficit of roughly ₹160.21 crore.

Actress Kiara Advani, who stars in the film alongside Yash, Nayanthara, and Tara Sutaria, recently addressed her experience filming a demanding scene for the movie. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she stated, ‘I gave my everything to that scene,’ noting the physical exhaustion but the emotional satisfaction of the performance. While Advani did not comment on the film’s box office reception, reports suggest that lead actor Yash was deeply affected by the film's response.
