Toy Story 5 drives nationwide events and new merchandise in Japan

The Disney‑Pixar sequel Toy Story 5 opened in Japan on 3 July 2026 and quickly became the focus of multiple promotional activities. From 24 July to 16 August, Lalaport malls in Tokyo Bay hosted a "Toy Story Summer Adventure" featuring a stamp rally, a giant toy‑box photo spot, craft workshops, and exclusive Disney‑themed pop‑up stores. An interview with Japanese cast members highlighted the film’s lasting appeal.

Concurrent with the film’s debut, several retail and fashion collaborations were launched. MILKFED in Shinjuku released a Jessie‑inspired apparel line on 21 July, and Jam Home Made introduced T‑shirts printed with Andy’s original Woody and Buzz drawings. Both collections are sold online and in physical stores, extending the movie’s presence beyond the screen. These efforts underline the coordinated marketing push surrounding Toy Story 5 across Japan.
