Toy Story 5 debuts as Disney celebrates 30‑year franchise legacy
Disney and Pixar released Toy Story 5 in theaters worldwide, adding a fifth installment to the franchise that began in 1995. To mark the film’s launch, Disney produced a short video reviewing the series’ three‑decade history, featuring director Andrew Stanton and highlighting the franchise’s influence on movies, merchandise, and theme‑park experiences.
The company also rolled out new promotional elements at its resorts, including a Toy Story 5 exhibit at the Pixar Place Hotel gallery in Disneyland Resort, updated décor in Toy Story Land at Shanghai Disneyland, and a special PhotoPass feature at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The release coincides with the franchise’s presence in all six Disney resorts worldwide, underscoring its enduring global appeal.
