Toy Story 5 grosses $585 million worldwide as German launch postponed to 2026

The Pixar/Disney sequel Toy Story 5 has surpassed $585 million in global box‑office revenue. In the North American market (U.S. and Canada) it has earned more than $297 million, while international earnings total about $288 million, with notable receipts of over $20 million in the United Kingdom, nearly $26 million in Mexico and $18 million in China. The film continues to lead worldwide box‑office charts, posting $159.1 million after its second weekend and $312 million in its opening days.

The production cost was roughly $250 million, with an additional $100 million spent on marketing. Despite the strong performance, the movie’s theatrical release in Germany has been delayed until 23 July 2026, a postponement attributed to the FIFA World Cup schedule and the start of summer holidays in many German states.

These figures underline the franchise’s lucrative pull for Disney, which has earned an estimated $16 billion from the Toy Story series through ticket sales, merchandising, licensing and theme‑park attractions.
