Toy Story 5 sets 2026 box‑office record as director Andrew Stanton prepares to leave Pixar

Toy Story 5 opened in cinemas on 17 June 2026 and quickly became the year’s top‑grossing film. In its first weekend in the United States it earned $160 million, the biggest debut for the franchise, and by the end of July its worldwide total topped $1.022 billion, surpassing all other releases in 2026.
