Toy Story 5 unveils 15 cameo voice actors and leads US box office

Disney/Pixar’s upcoming sequel Toy Story 5 announced a group of 15 Japanese voice actors—including Natsuki Hanae, Subaru Kimura, Sumire Uesaka and others—to appear in undisclosed cameo roles. The film follows Bonnie’s new tablet that changes her daily life, prompting Woody, Buzz and the gang to help her regain her joy.

In its US opening weekend (June 26‑28) the movie earned $70.8 million (≈¥113 billion), securing the #1 spot for a second consecutive week. Cumulative domestic revenue now stands at $477 million (≈¥937 billion worldwide). It outperformed the DC U release Supergirl, which opened with $59 million and ranked second.

Other releases mentioned include the horror film Obsession: Sarai and the final Jackass movie, but Toy Story 5 remains the dominant box‑office performer.
