Toy Story recognized as cinematic milestone with perfect Rotten Tomatoes score

The 1995 animated film ‘Toy Story’ has regained attention due to its perfect 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. As the first feature-length film produced entirely with computer animation, it marked a historic milestone for Pixar Animation Studios and fundamentally changed the landscape of filmmaking.

Technical production for the film was exceptionally demanding, with individual frames requiring anywhere from 45 minutes to 300 hours of work. To achieve realistic movement, animators even used unconventional methods, such as attaching wooden boards to their shoes to mimic the gait of the film’s small green army men.

The film’s character development also underwent significant changes during production. Originally, the character Woody was envisioned as a ventriloquist dummy that would act as a villain by mistreating other toys, a concept that was ultimately abandoned to create the caring cowboy character known today.
