Toyama Airport and Urashiyama Gakuen sign regional cooperation agreement

Toyama Airport Co., Ltd. and Urashiyama Gakuen have signed a regional cooperation agreement to promote human resource development and regional revitalization in Toyama Prefecture.

The partnership is centered around the planned establishment of Koshi University (tentative name), which aims to open in April 2028. The collaboration focuses on integrating the specialized economic and management education of the university with the regional revitalization efforts led by Toyama Airport.

Key initiatives under the agreement include information sharing regarding regional and industrial needs, cooperation in practical learning such as Project Based Learning (PBL) and field projects, and the joint design of educational programs including regional internships. The goal is to address the challenge of youth outflow from the region by creating practical learning opportunities that connect students with local industries.
