Toyama weather forecast warns of heavy rain and temperature swings

Toyama Prefecture is expected to experience volatile weather on the 21st, characterized by sudden heavy rain, strong gusts, and significant temperature swings. A stationary front stimulated by a low-pressure system is projected to pass through the region, potentially causing wind gusts of up to 20 meters per second during the day.

Temperatures are predicted to fluctuate sharply, a phenomenon described as a “temperature roller coaster.” While daytime highs may reach 27 degrees Celsius due to southerly winds, temperatures could drop by nearly 10 degrees once the rain begins, leading to cooler conditions by evening.

Additionally, meteorologists are monitoring Typhoon 30, which is currently large and very strong. While its exact path remains uncertain, there is concern that the typhoon may merge with the autumn rain front, potentially bringing its cloud systems toward Japan. Forecasts suggest a shift toward autumn weather starting from the 22nd, with temperatures expected to drop significantly.
