Toyota adds Knight Edition to bZ3X electric SUV in China
Toyota, through its GAC‑Toyota joint venture, introduced a special‑edition Knight Edition of the bZ3X compact electric SUV for the Chinese market. The model features a blacked‑out exterior with glossy dark paint, matching black front‑rear logos and exclusive 18‑inch aerodynamic wheels. Two trims are offered: the 520 Pro Knight Edition and a higher‑spec 520 Pro Lidar Knight Edition, the latter adding a forward‑facing Lidar sensor on the windshield. Both use a 58 kWh battery, a front‑motor delivering 201 hp and an advertised range of up to 520 km on a single charge. Inside, the vehicle includes a Yamaha 11‑speaker audio system, heated, ventilated and massage‑function front seats, and a fold‑away rear‑seat table similar to those on commercial aircraft. Dimensions are comparable to the RAV4 crossover, but the wheelbase is nearly three inches longer, providing a more spacious cabin. Pricing starts at 114,800 yuan (about 446 million VND) for the standard Knight Edition and 134,800 yuan (about 524 million VND) for the Lidar‑equipped version, positioning the bZ3X as a competitively priced electric alternative to gasoline models in its segment.
