Toyota and Mazda announce vehicle updates and price adjustments

Toyota has announced a mid-cycle update for its flagship Crown family, introducing enhancements to the Crown Crossover, Crown Sport, and Crown Sedan. The updates feature the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS). The Crown Crossover and Crown Sport models will see increased power output, with the 2.5L HEV system rising to 176kW. The Crown Sport PHEV variant will offer up to 225kW. Pricing for the Crown Crossover starts at 5.17 million yen, while the Crown Sedan ranges up to 8.53 million yen.

In Taiwan, Mazda has launched the 2027 model year CX-90, featuring significant price reductions across its three trim levels, with the Premium trim seeing a cut of 140,000 TWD. The updated CX-90 includes enhanced safety features such as steering collision avoidance, lane departure avoidance, and an increase to ten airbags. Higher-end models also receive upgrades to interior technology, including driver facial recognition and premium Bose sound systems.
