Toyota and Nissan announce new vehicle models
Toyota has announced the 2027 Prius for the US market, featuring updates to its fifth-generation hybrid system. The new model includes a new 'Inked' color option and introduces dual-zone automatic climate control. Available in LE, XLE, Nightshade, and Limited trims, the vehicle utilizes a 2.0L gasoline engine paired with a lithium-ion battery. The FWD model produces 194hp, while the AWD version offers 196hp. Prices in the US start at $28,755 for the LE trim and reach $37,170 for the Limited AWD.
Nissan has introduced the third-generation Leaf, transitioning from a hatchback to a Coupe-style Crossover SUV. The new lineup offers two battery capacities: a 55kWh (B5) version and a 78kWh (B7) version. The B7 model provides a WLTC range of up to 702km, while the B5 reaches up to 521km. The vehicle features a 3-in-1 electric powertrain and ProPILOT advanced driving assistance. In Japan, with government subsidies, the effective starting price for the B5 model is approximately 3.099 million yen.
