Toyota Avalon to receive major update with Crown-inspired design

Toyota is preparing to launch a significant update for the Avalon sedan, which is currently a model exclusive to the Chinese market. According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China, the refreshed model is expected to debut on November 5.

The updated Avalon will adopt Toyota’s latest family design language, closely resembling the styling of the Crown sedan. Key exterior changes include a redesigned grille, bumper, and headlight assembly. The vehicle's dimensions will also increase, with the length growing from 4,990mm to 5,055mm and a wheelbase of 2,870mm, positioning it as a larger flagship option compared to the Camry.

At the rear, the car will feature a new split taillight design, utilizing a continuous light strip across the top and separate LED bands below. Power options for the new model are expected to include a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing approximately 173 horsepower and a 2.5-liter hybrid system producing 185 horsepower.
