Toyota reports record European sales and celebrates Corolla's 60th anniversary

Toyota Motor Europe has achieved record sales for the first nine months of 2026, delivering 936,042 Toyota and Lexus vehicles. This represents a 0.6% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Electrified models, including hybrids and fully electric vehicles, accounted for 87% of total sales, with pure electric vehicle sales surging by 136% to 104,832 units.

Among Toyota's top-selling models in Europe are the Yaris Cross, Yaris, Corolla, Toyota C-HR, and Aygo X. The Corolla specifically recorded 113,583 deliveries during this period.

Coinciding with these results, the Toyota Corolla marks its 60th anniversary. Since its debut in 1966, the model has achieved over 57 million global sales, making it one of the most successful vehicles in automotive history. Looking forward, a new thirteenth generation of the Corolla is expected to debut, featuring a versatile platform capable of supporting various powertrains, including a fully electric version.
