Toyota celebrates 60 years of the Corolla with special anniversary editions

Toyota is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Corolla, one of the world's best-selling automobiles, with the release of a special ‘60 Anniversary’ series. In Europe, the jubilee models will be available in Hatchback, Touring Sports, and Sedan versions.

The anniversary editions feature unique body colors, such as Boreal Blue and Lunar Sky Blue, paired with two-tone black roofs. Additional upgrades include new 17-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.5-inch multimedia system. The Corolla Hatchback and Touring Sports will utilize Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system, offered in 1.8L (140 hp) and 2.0L (178 hp) variants, while the Sedan will include a 1.5-liter gasoline engine option.

Safety features include the T-Mate package, which provides automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Since its European debut in 1967, the Corolla has become a key model for Toyota, with production currently spanning 12 locations globally. European production is handled by facilities in the United Kingdom and Turkey.
