Toyota City and Codmon partner for childcare DX

Toyota City and Codmon have signed a partnership agreement to promote digital transformation (DX) in childcare and parenting support. As the first phase of this collaboration, the two entities will participate in the Children and Families Agency’s ‘Nursery ICT Lab Project’ in fiscal year 2026.

The initiative will focus on five public nursery schools within the city for approximately six months. The project aims to test a new model that combines the training of ‘core personnel’ within facilities to lead ICT adoption with continuous ‘accompanying support’ from external ICT experts. This approach seeks to address the common issue where ICT systems are implemented but not fully utilized for daily childcare or operational improvements.

By fostering an environment where childcare staff can autonomously and continuously use technology, the project intends to reduce administrative workloads, improve the quality of childcare, and alleviate the burden on parents. The results and expertise gained from this demonstration will be shared across other facilities in Toyota City and developed into a practical model that can be adopted by other municipalities nationwide.
