Toyota dominates Japan's July 2026 minivan sales rankings

According to July 2026 sales data released by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Toyota continues to dominate the minivan segment in Japan. The Toyota Sienta secured the top position in the category with 12,196 units sold, representing a 131.3% increase compared to the same month last year.

Other high-performing models include the Toyota Roomy in second place (10,260 units) and the luxury Toyota Alphard in third (8,489 units). Honda's Freed holds the fourth position with 7,063 units. Toyota maintains a strong presence across multiple segments, with the Noah and Voxy series combined accounting for approximately 12,690 units.

Nissan's Serena ranked eighth with 6,140 units, showing a slight year-on-year decrease of 4.1%. Meanwhile, the Nissan Elgrand saw a significant surge in sales, reaching 1,883 units, a 1,155.2% increase compared to the previous year.
