Toyota expands C-HR lineup with new C-HR+ electric SUV
Toyota is expanding its C-HR lineup with the introduction of the C-HR+ electric vehicle (EV) and updates to existing hybrid models. In Japan, the C-HR+ is scheduled for release in September 2026. Built on a new dedicated EV platform, the C-HR+ features a larger wheelbase of 2,750mm to optimize interior space, offering a more spacious cabin than previous internal combustion engine models. In North America, the C-HR+ is available starting at $37,080, featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with 338 horsepower and a range of 466 kilometers.
In the European market, the C-HR continues to offer hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options, including 1.8L and 2.0L engines. The European lineup also includes a single-motor front-wheel-drive EV variant with a range exceeding 600 kilometers (WLTP). Recent updates for the European model include new aesthetic options, such as a matte gray finish for the GR SPORT trim.
