Toyota expands electrified vehicle offerings and battery warranties
Toyota is advancing its electrification strategy through a multi-path approach, offering a variety of technologies including hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), and fully electric vehicles (EVs). To bolster consumer confidence, the company has announced a battery warranty for hybrid and electric models of up to 10 years or one million kilometers, depending on which occurs first, subject to specified conditions.
In the Philippines, Toyota maintains its market leadership while navigating a shift toward electric alternatives. The company is refreshing its lineup with updated technology in models like the RAV4 and preparing to roll out new variants, including the Land Cruiser FJ and Hilux BEV/HEV. Meanwhile, Nissan is also pivoting toward electrification in the region, focusing on its e-POWER technology and upcoming plug-in hybrid and all-electric models to compete with rising EV brands like BYD and Tesla.
