Toyota Gazoo Racing returns home for Rally Finland round, all five drivers lead WRC standings
The tenth round of the FIA World Rally Championship, the Rally Finland, will be contested from 30 July to 2 August on the gravel roads surrounding Jyväskylä, the spiritual home of rallying and the base of Toyota Gazoo Racing’s WRC team.
Toyota’s five drivers – Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta, Sami Pajari, Sébastien Ogier and Oliver Solberg – have all recorded at least one rally win this season and currently occupy the top five positions in the drivers’ championship, a 47‑point spread with five rounds remaining. Evans leads by 25 points, Katsuta sits second, Pajari third after his Estonia victory, Ogier fourth and Solberg close behind. Team director Jari‑Matti Latvala said, “They are all capable of winning the Rally Finland, and I think we can expect a close battle.”
