Toyota Gazoo Racing targets WRC title at Rally Chile

Toyota Gazoo Racing is preparing for Rally Chile, scheduled for September 10-13, following a successful performance at Rally del Paraguay. The team aims to secure the manufacturers’ championship, as they currently hold a 173-point lead with only 180 points remaining in the season. A minimum of seven points in Chile will guarantee the title.

In the drivers’ championship, Elfyn Evans maintains a 20-point lead over Sami Pajari, who enters the round following three consecutive victories. Oliver Solberg and Takamoto Katsuta follow in third and fourth place, respectively.

Due to a collarbone fracture sustained during the previous rally in Paraguay, co-driver Aaron Johnston will miss the event. James Fulton will step in to partner with Takamoto Katsuta for the competition.
