Toyota GR GT3 to make racing debut at Motegi Super GT finale

The Toyota GR GT3 is set to make its official racing debut during the Super GT season finale at Mobility Resort Motegi on November 7–8, 2026. The vehicle will compete in the GT300 class as an unclassified entry during the double-header event, which consists of two 250-kilometer races.

Following its debut, Toyota plans to deploy the vehicle in various racing series starting in the 2027 season. Due to limited initial production numbers, participation will be restricted to a small number of factory-supported teams. Customer deliveries are not expected until at least 2028.

Reports indicate that Rookie Racing, the team associated with Akio Toyoda, will handle the premier entry in the GT300 class on November 8. Development of the vehicle has involved extensive testing, including work conducted by KCMG on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
