Toyota Hilux BEV Debuts at Philippines Motor Show with Cyber‑Sumo Design

Toyota Motor Philippines introduced the all‑new Hilux Battery Electric Vehicle at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) in Manila from June 4‑7, 2026. The electric pickup uses a dual‑motor all‑wheel‑drive system that delivers about 196 hp, a 59.2 kWh battery developed with Panasonic, and a WLTP‑based range of roughly 260 km that can extend to 400 km in urban or logistic use.

The model features Toyota’s new “Cyber‑Sumo” front fascia, a Diamond Guard sub‑chassis that shields the battery from impacts, a 70 cm wading depth, and a De Dion rear axle for smoother ride. Inside, drivers find a 12.3‑inch configurable instrument panel and an 8‑inch central touchscreen while retaining essential physical buttons. Order books for the Hilux BEV and updated diesel variants are now open.
