Toyota Hilux debut in Greece: hybrid model €29,700 cheaper than electric version

Toyota has rolled out the ninth‑generation Hilux in Greece, offering the model in two power‑train options for the first time. The 48 V mild‑hybrid diesel version starts at €41,900, while the fully electric version is priced from €71,600, making the hybrid €29,700 less expensive.

The hybrid is built on the classic 2.8‑litre diesel engine delivering 204 hp, paired with a 48 V electric assist, and retains a payload capacity of up to 1,065 kg and a towing rating of 3.5 tonnes. It also features water fording up to 700 mm and a suite of Toyota safety and driver‑assist technologies.

The battery‑electric Hilux is equipped with a 59.2 kWh battery and dual electric motors (one per axle) producing a combined 196 hp, offering roughly 240 km (WLTP) of range. Its payload is reduced to about 715 kg and towing capacity to 1.6 tonnes. Both versions are offered only as double‑cab variants and include upgraded interior displays, connectivity, and Toyota’s T‑Mate safety package.
