Toyota Hilux new generation rollout differs in Mexico, Argentina, India

Toyota Motor Corporation has launched the latest generation of its Hilux pickup. In Mexico the new model will arrive as an imported unit from Thailand in August 2026, while Argentina will receive a locally assembled version from the Zárate plant in Buenos Aires only in 2027 after the factory is retooled. The redesign, dubbed “Cyber Sumo,” adds slimmer LED headlights, a larger honey‑comb grille, a higher ground clearance of 312 mm and an interior inspired by the Land Cruiser, with options for a 12.3‑inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3‑inch multimedia screen.

In India the same generation was introduced with a price range of roughly ₹31.99 – ₹36.69 million, but several features offered in other markets are omitted. These include dual‑zone climate control, a manual transmission, 18‑inch alloy wheels, rear‑air vents, auto‑dimming IRVM, powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, the Neo‑Drive mild‑hybrid engine, Level‑2 ADAS, a large TFT cluster and an electronic parking brake. The Indian spec focuses on cost reduction while retaining the core off‑road capabilities.
