Toyota Land Cruiser with 999,999 km offered at auction

An Australian man, Gary Driscoll, is auctioning his Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series Sahara after it reached 999,999 kilometers. Driscoll purchased the vehicle new in 2010 and drove an average of over 180 kilometers daily on rural roads and highways in Victoria for 16 years.

The vehicle has maintained its original factory components, including the 4.5-liter V8 biturbo diesel engine and the six-speed automatic transmission. The high mileage was supported by rigorous maintenance, evidenced by exactly 100 service stamps in the logbook, representing a service every 10,000 kilometers.

Driscoll intentionally stopped driving the SUV approximately 300 meters before reaching the million-kilometer mark to allow the next owner to witness the odometer hitting 1,000,000. The vehicle is being offered on the Auctions Plus platform with an expected price between 20,000 and 30,000 Australian dollars.
