Toyota celebrates 60 years of Corolla with special anniversary editions
Toyota is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Corolla, the world’s best-selling car with over 57 million units sold since 1966. To mark the milestone, the company is launching special anniversary editions across different global markets.
In Europe, Toyota is offering 60th Anniversary trims for the Hatchback, Touring Sports, and Sedan models. These editions feature exclusive design elements such as the New Boreal Blue metallic paint with a contrasting Night Sky Black roof, 17-inch alloy wheels, and commemorative badging. These models utilize Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid technology, with options for 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter engines.
In contrast, the North American market will receive a more limited release. The 2027 Corolla 60th Anniversary Special Edition in the US is capped at 2,500 units, based on the SE Hybrid grade, with deliveries expected in early 2027. In Canada, the limited run is even smaller, with only 250 units planned.
In Japan, Toyota has also introduced the Corolla Sport G ‘Z・ACTIVE ELEGANCE’ special edition to complete its 60th-anniversary lineup, featuring unique interior colors and commemorative logos.
