Toyota launches fully electric Hilux pickup in Italy

Toyota has introduced a 100 % electric version of its Hilux pickup to the Italian market. The new Hilux Electric retains the model’s rugged off‑road DNA while adding dual electric motors delivering a combined 196 hp and permanent all‑wheel drive. It is equipped with a 59.2 kWh lithium‑ion battery that provides a WLTP‑rated range of about 255‑257 km and supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, reaching 80 % charge in roughly 30 minutes.

The vehicle’s off‑road specifications match those of the mild‑hybrid variant, with a 212 mm ground clearance, 29° approach and 25° departure angles, a 700 mm wading depth, a towing capacity of 1 600 kg and a payload of up to 750 kg. Inside, the cabin features a 12.3‑inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3‑inch touchscreen infotainment system, plus Toyota’s third‑generation Safety Sense ADAS suite.

Pricing in Italy starts at €58 000 (excluding VAT and registration), with a launch promotion offering the same introductory price as the mild‑hybrid model (€41 500). Financing options include a €299‑per‑month loan at 5.99 % interest or a Kinto lease at €569 per month for 48 months.
