Toyota launches RAV4 headlight and AHS retrofit service

Toyota's KINTO-operated service, ‘Toyota Upgrade Factory’, has launched new retrofit options for the 60-series RAV4 produced from December 2025 onwards. This service utilizes ‘Upgrade Ready Design’, a structural approach implemented during the vehicle's development phase to allow for easier installation of future equipment.

For Hybrid Adventure models, owners can upgrade to Z-grade headlamps and add the Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) for 193,600 yen. This upgrade replaces the existing lamps with Bi-Beam LED units that include daytime running lights and the AHS safety feature, which automatically adjusts light distribution to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers.

For Plug-in Hybrid GR SPORT models, which already feature the Z-grade lamp design, the service offers the addition of the AHS functionality for 116,600 yen. These upgrades are available to both vehicle owners and subscription users through authorized Toyota dealers.
