Fuji Speedway hosts 6 Hours of Fuji for FIA WEC
The 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) has arrived at Fuji Speedway for the 6 Hours of Fuji, a critical round in the championship battle between Toyota, BMW, and Ferrari.
During the practice sessions, Toyota Gazoo Racing showed strong form. Ryo Hirakawa set the pace in the No. 8 Toyota TR010 Hybrid during the first free practice, while the Alpine A424 of Jules Gounon and Victor Martins recorded the fastest time during the third practice session under rainy conditions.
In the LMGT3 class, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and McLaren 720S GT3 Evo have been among the fastest. The championship standings remain highly competitive, with Toyota leading the manufacturers' standings, followed closely by BMW and Ferrari. The weekend includes qualifying and Hyperpole sessions to determine the starting grid for the main endurance race.
