Toyota updates Pixis Epoch with enhanced safety features

Toyota Motor Corporation has released an updated version of its Pixis Epoch light vehicle, effective August 27. The update focuses on enhancing product value through a revised grade structure and improved safety features.

A new high-end grade, the X “Limited”, has been introduced. Based on the existing X grade, this model comes standard with premium features such as a key-free system, push-button start, and an upgrade pack for genuine navigation installation.

Safety enhancements include making the “Smart Assist” preventative safety system standard across all grades. The system's detection capabilities have been expanded to include cyclists in addition to vehicles and pedestrians. It can now also detect oncoming vehicles during right turns at intersections and pedestrians crossing from the opposite direction during left or right turns. Additional safety functions include braking-controlled misacceleration suppression (front and rear), lane departure warnings, and swaying alerts.

Other updates include standard SRS side airbags for all models, new self-illuminating digital meters for the X and X “Limited” grades, and new body color options: Ceramic Green Metallic and Grace Brown Crystal Mica.
