Toyota recalls over 121,000 vehicles in China

Toyota has initiated a large-scale recall in China affecting more than 121,000 vehicles due to various mechanical and software issues. The recall includes 100,175 bZ3X electric SUVs, which may suffer from insufficient axial clamping force on front suspension stabilizer bar nuts. This defect could lead to loosening, abnormal noises, or nut breakage, potentially impacting vehicle stability.

Additionally, 21,085 bZ7 sedans are being recalled due to software malfunctions. One issue involves the Comfortable Stopping (CST) software, which may limit braking force at low speeds and increase stopping distances. Another software issue related to front recognition cameras during over-the-air updates could cause unintended steering wheel movement when the Integrated Cruise Control (ICA) is active.

Further recalls involve 55,477 Land Cruiser Prado and Lexus GX 550h hybrid SUVs due to fuel line connection errors. GAC Toyota will replace the affected suspension components free of charge.
