Toyota rolls out refreshed Prius hatchback and Hilux facelift

On July 1 2026 Toyota introduced a small facelift of its fifth‑generation Prius hatchback in Japan, adding new paint options and upgraded interior equipment. The top‑spec PHEV Z model features a 2.0‑L engine, 25.9 km/L WLTC fuel economy, Adaptive High Beam, a 12.3‑inch display, and is priced at ¥4.645 million (tax inclusive).

The same day the company’s new‑generation Hilux was listed by Taiwan’s Energy Bureau as an upcoming import. The Hilux is equipped with a 2.8‑L diesel engine, six‑speed auto‑manual transmission and four‑wheel drive, delivering an average fuel consumption of 12.1 km/L. It is scheduled to arrive in Taiwan in July.
