Toyota Saudi Time Attack Championship begins in Jeddah
The first day of the 2026 Toyota Saudi Time Attack Championship has concluded at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The event is overseen by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and managed by Bakhshab Motorsports, in partnership with Abdul Latif Jameel Motorsports.
The opening day included administrative audits, technical inspections, and driver photo sessions. Out of 107 registered participants, 74 successfully passed technical inspections to compete across 11 categories, including a dedicated Women’s Cup. Following a mandatory drivers' meeting to review regulations, free practice sessions were held in the evening to allow drivers to test vehicle readiness and track conditions.
Competitions continue on Saturday with the first race scheduled for 4:00 PM and the second at 7:45 PM. The championship is a time-attack format where winners are determined by the fastest recorded lap times rather than overtaking positions. The round is expected to conclude with an awards ceremony at midnight.
