Toyota shows strong sales growth in Vietnam and global durability

Toyota continues to demonstrate market strength in Vietnam and high reliability ratings globally. In the Vietnamese market, Toyota reported August 2026 sales of 4,767 vehicles, bringing its year-to-date total to over 48,600 units, a 25% increase compared to the previous year. The Yaris Cross emerged as the top seller in August with 920 units, followed by the Innova Cross with 829 units. As of September 2026, Toyota vehicle prices in Vietnam range from 405 million to approximately 4.71 billion VND.

On a global scale, a study by iSeeCars analyzing 395 million vehicles in the US market highlights the exceptional durability of Japanese automotive brands. The research focused on the probability of vehicles reaching 250,000 miles (approximately 400,000 km). Toyota dominated the findings, with six models appearing in the top 10 most durable vehicles. The Toyota Sequoia led the list with a 42.3% probability of reaching the 400,000 km milestone, which is 7.9 times higher than the industry average of 5.4%. Other prominent brands in the durability rankings include Honda and Lexus.
