Toyota to expand Noah and Voxy production to Taiwan to reduce delivery delays
Toyota plans to expand the production of its Noah and Voxy minivan models to the Kuozui Motors plant in Guanyin, Taiwan, starting in October 2026. This move aims to address significant delivery delays in the Japanese market, where demand for these models has consistently outpaced supply.
Currently, production is concentrated at Toyota Body's Fujimatsu plant following the consolidation of manufacturing from the Motomachi plant. By adding the Taiwan-based facility as a parallel supply source, Toyota intends to create a more flexible production system capable of responding to domestic demand fluctuations.
The expansion of the Noah and Voxy supply chain is seen as a critical factor for the potential commercialization of the Cross Van Gear concept. The Cross Van Gear, a concept vehicle unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, is expected to be a derivative model based on the Noah/Voxy platform, combining minivan space with an active SUV style.
