Toyota Tsusho implements Notion CRM Agent System
Toyota Tsusho's Metal Resources Department has begun the early implementation of the ‘Notion CRM Agent System,’ a project supported by Modelist. The system utilizes Notion CRM as a process data foundation to connect organizational information—such as projects, meetings, activities, and decision-making histories—with specific companies and individuals.
Unlike standard general-purpose AI assistants, this system builds a collaborative work environment where business context data from emails, chats, and documents is structured and accumulated. This allows the organization to create specialized AI agents that represent the expertise of internal leaders or external experts. For example, the department has created an ‘Aoki Agent’ based on the activities and negotiation contexts of Department Manager Tsutomu Aoki to assist with organizing discussion points.
The initiative aims to transform individual expertise into reusable organizational assets. This is particularly critical for the Metal Resources Department, which manages long-term, high-uncertainty resource businesses involving rare metals essential for electric vehicles and semiconductors. By capturing the reasoning and decision-making patterns of experienced personnel, the system helps mitigate the risks of knowledge loss during organizational restructuring and personnel transfers.
