Toyota unveils new Land Cruiser FJ and Hilux pickups in Japan
Toyota released two new models for the Japanese market. On 14 May 2026 the company launched the Land Cruiser FJ, a full‑size off‑road SUV priced at ¥4,501,100 (incl. tax). Alongside the vehicle, Toyota Customising & Development introduced a range of MODELLISTA accessories, from protective kits to exterior and interior styling components, priced between ¥3,300 and ¥260,700.
On 28 May the automaker also unveiled a fully refreshed Hilux pickup, offered in two grades – Z at ¥4,988,800 and Z Adventure at ¥5,500,000. The new Hilux seats five, features a 2.8‑litre diesel engine with a 6‑speed automatic, part‑time 4WD, and a 500 kg deck capacity. It incorporates updated design, safety (Toyota Safety Sense) and connected‑car technologies, as well as enhanced off‑road capability.
Both launches target customers seeking robust performance for work and outdoor activities, expanding Toyota’s lineup of durable, high‑capacity vehicles.
