Toyota updates Crown lineup with design and hybrid improvements

Toyota has announced partial improvements to three models in its Crown lineup: the Crown Crossover, Crown Sport, and Crown Sedan.

The Crown Crossover features significant exterior updates, most notably a redesigned rear to create a more “wide and low” stance. The model adopts a new two-tone color scheme where the cabin area from the hood to the beltline is blacked out, and various moldings have been changed to piano black. Additionally, the 2.5L hybrid version now utilizes Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system, improving both fuel efficiency and driving performance.

The Crown Sport focuses on powertrain and grade expansions. It also adopts the fifth-generation hybrid system and introduces a new “SPORT Z” grade for the Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) model.

The Crown Sedan emphasizes luxury and comfort with the addition of a new “G” hybrid grade and enhanced rear-seat amenities, including a 13.2-inch OLED display for passengers. Improvements to noise reduction and handling stability were also implemented for the sedan.
