Toyota begins ninth-generation Hilux deliveries in India and Brunei
Toyota has commenced deliveries and expanded the availability of its ninth-generation Hilux pickup truck in several markets. In India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor began customer deliveries following the vehicle's July 2026 launch. Olympic medalist Mary Kom was among the first customers to take delivery of the new model in the Delhi NCR region.
The ninth-generation Hilux features a redesigned exterior with a more upright front fascia, honeycomb grille, and LED lighting. The interior has been updated with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While some international markets have introduced electrified versions, the India-spec model retains its proven diesel engine.
Simultaneously, the Hilux 2.8 has been officially unveiled in Brunei. The launch, themed ‘Power Every Move’, introduced three variants: Hilux Auto Mid, Auto High, and Manual Mid. The vehicle is positioned as a versatile option for both business operations and lifestyle adventures.
