Toyota Veloz Hybrid production reaches 15,737 units in Indonesia

PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) has produced 15,737 units of the Toyota Veloz Hybrid (HEV) from the start of production through the end of August 2026.

I Nyoman Winaya, Vice President Director of TMMIN, stated in Jakarta that production capacity for the model is adjusted based on consumer demand. While the company is currently focusing on meeting domestic market needs in Indonesia rather than immediate exports, they remain open to future export opportunities depending on market characteristics and demand.

To support production, TMMIN is looking to increase capacity, including studying the development of an HEV battery production line at Plant 1, as current battery production is concentrated at Plant 2. The company aims to align its product offerings with market developments and customer needs while addressing current sales trends.
