Toyota Vios Hybrid attracts interest from Indonesian automotive community
The Toyota Vios Hybrid has become a central topic of discussion within the Toyota Vios Club Indonesia (TVCI) during the community's 5th National Jamboree and 22nd anniversary celebration in Bogor. The vehicle represents Toyota's first entry-level sedan in Indonesia to adopt hybrid technology, following its official launch at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026.
Technically, the Vios Hybrid utilizes a 1,496 cc four-cylinder Dual VVT-i gasoline engine producing 67 kW (approximately 91 PS) and 121 Nm of torque. This is paired with an 82 kW electric motor and an e-CVT transmission. The system relies on lithium batteries and features regenerative braking to maximize energy efficiency.
Designed for urban environments, the sedan maintains compact dimensions with a length of 4,425 mm and a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. Interior features include a 10-inch head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with wireless charging capabilities.
