Toyota Yaris crash on Argentina's Ruta 40 injures driver

A white Toyota Yaris carrying three people lost control on Ruta Nacional 40 near El Sosneado in the Malargüe department. The vehicle struck the west‑side guardrail, rebounded across the lane and hit the east‑side barrier. One occupant suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Hospital Regional de Malargüe for treatment.

Later that afternoon a truck became stranded on Provincial Route 6 near Filo Morado, close to Ruta 40 in northern Neuquén. Volunteer firefighters and a 4×4 from the local brigade attempted to free the vehicle but could not due to the load. The Provincial Road Authority dispatched a heavy‑duty truck, which succeeded in releasing the stranded truck, allowing it to continue toward Mendoza. Similar assistance was provided on nearby Provincial Route 8 where a vehicle was also extricated.
