Toys “R” Us to quadruple U.S. standalone store count

Toys “R” Us is significantly expanding its physical retail presence in the United States. The company plans to quadruple its number of standalone stores by the end of the year, increasing its count from 40 to 160 locations.

This expansion is timed for the upcoming holiday season. The new stores will focus on toys, collectibles, branded gift items, and entertainment assets. Some locations may also feature Creator Studios, designed for influencers and brands to produce content. While the expansion is confirmed, the specific locations and individual opening dates for the 120 new stores have not yet been released.
