TP-Link expands Tapo smart home line with new video doorbells

TP-Link has expanded its Tapo smart home portfolio with the introduction of new video doorbell models, including the Tapo D260 and the Tapo D130.

The Tapo D260 features 4K video resolution and an ultra-wide 180-degree diagonal field of view. It utilizes radar-based motion detection and 3D motion mapping to improve accuracy and reduce false alerts. The device offers flexible power options, including a hardwired connection for 24/7 recording and a rechargeable battery lasting approximately 180 days. It emphasizes privacy through subscription-free, on-device AI that identifies people, animals, vehicles, and packages, with local storage support via MicroSD.

The Tapo D130 is a compact, hardwired model featuring 2K 5MP resolution and a starlight sensor for color night vision. It includes a built-in spotlight and a 4:3 aspect ratio live view designed to maintain detail for visitors standing close to the camera. The D130 also provides a 180-degree ultra-wide diagonal field of view.
