TP-Link launches new 5G-integrated WiFi 7 and mobile router solutions

TP-Link has introduced new networking solutions integrating 5G connectivity with advanced WiFi standards. The Deco BE25-5G is a hybrid 5G modem and WiFi 7 Mesh system designed for wide-area coverage. It utilizes technologies such as Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and 4K-QAM to provide speeds up to 3.6 Gbit/s, making it suitable for high-bandwidth activities like 4K streaming and cloud gaming. The device is positioned as a solution for secondary residences, areas with poor fixed-line infrastructure, or as a backup connection for uninterrupted service.

Additionally, the company offers the M8550, a portable 5G mobile router. This device features WiFi 6E, supports up to 32 simultaneous connections, and includes a microSD card reader for file sharing. While it provides high speeds of up to 3.4 Gbit/s and includes a 4,680 mAh removable battery, reviews note limitations regarding performance during high-speed travel and the absence of eSIM compatibility.
