TP Vision announces AmbiScape expansion for 2027

TP Vision, the manufacturer behind Philips televisions, has announced upcoming enhancements to its AmbiScape system, which expands the Ambilight experience beyond the TV screen to the surrounding room.

Scheduled for release in the first half of 2027, the new generation of TVs will feature support for Matter over Thread. This technical upgrade is intended to allow the synchronization of more than four lighting fixtures or lamps within a room, overcoming current limitations. While initially exclusive to 2027 models, TP Vision plans to bring Matter over Thread support to current television models via software updates at a later date.
